Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and the developer of RoleFit. By downloading, installing or using RoleFit ("the app"), you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how the app handles your information.

2. Who provides RoleFit

RoleFit is developed and published by Gerard Rodríguez, an independent developer based in Spain ("we", "us"). Contact: gerodriguez26@gmail.com.

3. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use RoleFit on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your own job search, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and these Terms.

You may not: sublicense, rent, lease, sell or redistribute the app; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law; remove or obscure any proprietary notices; or use the app to build a competing product.

This licence does not transfer ownership. RoleFit is licensed to you, not sold.

4. What RoleFit is, and is not

RoleFit is a decision-support and organisation tool for your own job search. It reads job postings you give it, compares them against the career profile you enter, and helps you prepare applications and interviews.

RoleFit is not a job board, a recruitment agency, an employer or an applicant tracking system. It does not submit applications on your behalf, does not represent you to employers, and has no relationship with any company whose posting you import.

RoleFit does not provide professional advice. Nothing in the app constitutes legal, immigration, financial, tax, employment or career counselling advice. Match scores, ATS scores, preparedness reports, salary figures and market insights are informational estimates produced by software, not professional assessments. You should not rely on them as your only basis for a significant decision.

We do not guarantee outcomes. Using RoleFit does not guarantee that you will receive a reply, an interview, an offer, or any particular salary. Hiring decisions are made by employers using criteria we neither control nor observe.

5. Generated content

RoleFit generates drafts — tailored resumes, cover letters, recruiter messages, follow-ups, interview questions and answer feedback — using processing that runs on your device.

The app is deliberately built not to invent facts about you: it composes from information you have entered, and where something is missing it either leaves a visible placeholder or omits the sentence rather than filling the gap with a guess. Even so:

• You are responsible for everything you send. Always read a generated document before using it, and correct anything inaccurate, outdated or badly phrased.
• Generated text may contain errors. Automated processing can produce wording that is awkward, incomplete or wrong in context.
• Scores are estimates. An ATS score reflects RoleFit's own checks, not the behaviour of any specific applicant tracking system used by any specific employer. Interview questions are predictions, not the questions you will be asked.
• Misrepresentation is your responsibility. RoleFit will not fabricate experience for you, but it cannot verify what you enter. Submitting inaccurate information to an employer is your own act, with your own consequences.

As between you and us, content generated for you from your own profile is yours. We claim no ownership over your resumes, letters or messages, and we never see them.

6. Your content and imports

You keep all rights to the information you put into RoleFit. Because your data stays on your device, we acquire no licence to it of any kind.

When you import a job posting by link, PDF or pasted text, you are responsible for ensuring you are entitled to access and store that content. Job postings are usually the property of the employer or job board that published them. RoleFit stores an imported posting locally so that you can analyse and apply to it — a personal, private use. You must not use the app to systematically harvest, republish or redistribute postings, and you should respect the terms of service of any site you import from.

The app fetches only pages you explicitly ask it to. It does not crawl, scrape at scale, or bypass paywalls or login walls; if a page is not publicly readable, the import will simply not find the posting and you can paste the text instead.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use RoleFit to:

• break any applicable law, or infringe anyone's rights;
• create or send content that is fraudulent, defamatory, harassing or deliberately misleading about your qualifications;
• impersonate another person, or build a profile from someone else's career history;
• interfere with, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, including the websites the app fetches postings from;
• circumvent the app's subscription limits or any technical protection measure.

8. Subscription and billing

RoleFit is free to download and use. RoleFit Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription that removes the free plan's limits and unlocks the advanced ATS breakdown, the interview preparedness report and detailed market analytics.

Some capabilities are shown in the app marked "Coming soon". These are announcements of planned work, not part of what your subscription provides today, and you should not subscribe on the strength of them. We will not describe a feature as included until it actually functions.

The price shown in the app is the one Apple reports for your region and currency, and that is the amount you will be charged. The figure above is the reference price and may differ in your local currency, including taxes.

Renewal and cancellation

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription remains active for the rest of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Refund requests go to reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue refunds directly. If you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Restoring a purchase

If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases inside RoleFit to restore an active subscription linked to your Apple Account.

Price and plan changes

We may change the subscription price or what it includes. Any price increase applies only after the notice Apple requires, and you will be able to cancel before it takes effect. We may add or change premium features; we will not remove a feature you are actively relying on without notice in the release notes.

9. Free plan limits

The free plan is fully functional and includes your complete career profile and match analysis with full reasoning. It limits how much you can accumulate:

Reaching a limit never deletes anything. Older history entries stay on your device and reappear in full the moment a subscription becomes active. If a subscription lapses, your data remains — you simply return to the free plan's limits on creating and viewing more.

There is no advertising in RoleFit, and no credits, coins or consumable currency of any kind.

10. Your data and backups

Your data is stored on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. This means you are responsible for keeping it safe. We strongly recommend keeping your iPhone backed up, and using the app's own backup export before changing devices.

We have no copy of your data and therefore cannot recover it for you if you delete the app, lose your device, or reset it. This is the direct trade-off of an app with no account and no server.

11. Availability and changes

RoleFit requires a compatible iPhone running iOS 18 or later. Some features rely on capabilities Apple provides on newer devices or newer versions of iOS; where such a capability is unavailable, the app says so rather than pretending otherwise.

We may update, change or discontinue the app or any feature of it. We aim to give reasonable notice in the release notes for changes that materially reduce functionality. We are not liable for any interruption of availability, including through the App Store or your device.

12. Intellectual property

The app, its name, its design, its icon and its underlying software are owned by the developer and protected by intellectual property law. Company names, job titles and logos that may appear in postings you import belong to their respective owners; RoleFit is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RoleFit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any posting will be read or parsed correctly, that any score, prediction or insight will be accurate, or that using the app will produce any particular result in your job search.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot be excluded — including, in the EU, the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, opportunity, employment or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of RoleFit — including any decision you make, or any application you send, on the basis of information the app produced.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Termination

You may stop using RoleFit at any time by deleting it from your device. Remember to cancel any active subscription separately through Apple, as deleting the app does not cancel it.

We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. The sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 12, 13, 14 and 17 — will do so.

16. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and us only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for RoleFit or its content. The following apply to your use of the app on Apple-branded devices:

• Scope of licence. The licence granted in section 3 is limited to a non-transferable licence to use RoleFit on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that it may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
• Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for RoleFit. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.
• Warranty. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are solely our responsibility.
• Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
• Intellectual property claims. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
• Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the app changes. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes. Continuing to use RoleFit after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.
